Another issue to consider is the humidity level where the copper is at. In the desert southwest, copper does not patina green like in the northeast. This should have an effect on the sri value.

There is no question that reflective high SRI roofs in Orlando, near the dust of the coal plant go black in the first or second year- there should be some consideration in LEED for operations and maintenance - a quick PCA type report three years out would maintain the intention, as well as cut building operating costs- a smart project can get dumb very fast-

We have a similar question bouncing around the office right now but its on the flip-side. What is the accepted SRI value for IPE or Teak decking? Initially, they can be pretty dark but both will silver over time and theoretically gain more solar reflectance. We haven't had new or aged pieces tested but its an interesting issue to discuss.
