For the purposes of this argument, let&amp;#39;s assume they had a 5% reduction in productivity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That leaves us with those reporting equal productivity (aka 0% increase in productivity) and those reporting higher productivity averaged at 4.88%.  The no productivity folks account for 45% of the population and the higher productivity folks account for 54.5% of the population. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That leaves us with the following equation:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[(45%*0%)&lt;br /&gt;+(54.5%*4.88%)&lt;br /&gt;-(.5%*5%)]&lt;br /&gt;/100&lt;br /&gt;= &lt;br /&gt;2.63% increase in productivity for all included&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I did a bad job of pointing out the limitation of this particular study, namely that it is based on survey data.
